SALES TRAINEE - ROTTERDAM

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

In conjunction with the Senior International Account Manager:

1) Work on account plans for the assigned market sector (including competitors, market and economic developments), conduct compilation of monthly reports and customer visit reports

2) Work on development and continuation of an assigned number of customer markets, including maintenance and development of accounts (current accounts, leads and prospects) by keeping up the range of products and regular customer visits / participating in fairs

3) Execute and follow up the sales process:
1. Send offer (formulate calculations, constantly inform customer)
2. Close contract (negotiate prices within set range)
3. Execute contract (closely work with colleagues to follow up on the process)

4) Formulate and monitor reliable Sales forecasts (including collection of necessary information)

5) Together with Marketing and / or customers: develop and realize campaigns
(i.e.: actions, promotions)

6) Analyse current and competitive products and development of new products

7) Extract relevant marketing information on our products and forward this to customers

8) Visit clients and report back internally


KNOWLEDGE

Have at least a Bachelor degree / graduate calibre

Have between 2 - 4 years experience in retail (preferred), foodservice and/or industry

Bring knowledge of the market and a network

Be creative in generating new business opportunities

Must have strong presentation & interpersonal skills to build long lasting relationships in an ever changing environment

Be assertive and have a commercial mentality

Be good in figures and have analytical insight

Be solution oriented in thinking forward and coordinate the sales cycle

Have a hands-on approach to do whatever is necessary to achieve your goals

Have a curious mentality to remain up to date on all relevant market developments

Have the ambition to push your career forward (learn and develop)

Must speak Dutch and English fluently (verbal and written)
